ET CETERA – ISOLATION: 16 young Italian photographers;
curated by Eleutheria.

Baroque Chapel and Chapter House of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, Prague

October 22-November 12, 2021.

At the presence of the Italian ambassador to the Czech Republic, Mauro Marsili, on the initiative of the Eleutheria Foundation and in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Prague, directed by Alberta Lai, the exhibition “ET CETERA – ISOLATION,” an exhibition dedicated to the work of 15 young Italian photographers called to decline through 3 works each the theme of loneliness, at a time when social life and inner world are changing, on the basis of new individual and collective needs, was inaugurated in the Baroque Chapel of the Institute. The general theme allowed the young artists to identify multiple cues to propose single photographs or a project-triptych, from which one can perceive the creativity, conceptual idea and personality of each of them. The exhibition, in the evocative atmosphere generated by original and striking photographic images, thus recreates a kind of variegated observatory of contemporary ́Italy within the exhibition space of the Prague IIC.
The 15 selected photographers are: Carola Allemandi, Olmo Amato, Jordi Alessandro Bello Tabbi, Veronica Benedetti, Benedetta Cari, Sara Davide, Cecilia Del Gatto, Giulia Di Clemente, Ilaria Feoli, Gabriele Gregis, Giacomo Infantino, Veronica Iudici, Angelo Marinelli, Carolina Sartori and Sofia Sotto Corona.

The young artists were chosen by exhibition curators Genny Di Bert, Francesco Augusto Razetto and Ottaviano Maria Razetto and the coordinator of the Flavio R.G. Foundation. Mela, after a pre-selection made by critics Giorgio Bonomi, Micol Di Veroli, Elisabetta Longari, Gianluca Marziani, Gabriele Perretta, Fabrizio Pizzuto and Raffaele Simongini.
The Eleutheria Foundation, whose president is Francesco Augusto Razetto, vice-president Ottaviano Maria Razetto, and curator Genny Di Bert, has been running the “ET CETERA” project for almost ten years with the aim of identifying and enhancing new talents, giving space to young people trying their hand in the world of arts.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Prague and the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is part of the initiatives promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute for the XXI edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, which again this year is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affari and International Cooperation, with numerous other partners, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
