Ibrida Festival;
curated by Vetrov Project.

Exatr, Forlì.

September 24 – 25 – 26, 2021.

Scheduled for Sept. 24 is Cecilia Del Gatto’s video “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for the 6th edition of Ibrida Festival of Intermedia Arts, curated by Vertov Project, with artistic direction by Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo and critical collaboration by Piero Deggiovanni and other experts in the field.
Two not-to-be-missed live audiovisual performances reread Leni Riefenstahl’s controversial film Olympia (1938) and the notion of identity in the times of hyper-digitization.
Also on the program are dialogues, installations and lots of international video art.
On Saturday, September 25, the second day of the 2021 edition of Hybrid – International Festival of Intermediate Arts, scheduled in the spaces of Ex Atr in Forlì, is full of different events and stimuli.

At 10:30 p.m., the duo MUVIC (Andrea Lepri and Paolo Baldini), will present Muvic on Olympia [re- sampled], an interaction between music and Leni Riefenstahl’s famous and controversial 1938 film Olympia:
“Audio re-sampling and image manipulation follow a new sound structure. The fusion is an organic, unpredictable chaos with a singular dark, psychedelic flavor that is differently danceable.”
Video art (starting at 8 p.m.): Vertov Project will offer the international selection Signals, critic Piero Deggiovanni a focus on Post Internet Cyber Feminism, Belgian Philippe Franck (Pépinières Européennes de Création) the selection Sonopoetics, and Brazilian artist Kika Nicolela, who is present at the Festival, her own film Enfacements/Erasure.
Two installations will be usable: the interactive The best place to burn by Igor Imhoff and IN LOCO. Diffuse Museum of Abandonment.
On Hybrid Live (https://ibridafestival.it/ibrida-live/) it will be possible to meet for free the works of Francesca Fini, one of the artists to whom the Festival will dedicate a focus in 2021.
